Moodie 解忧处方笺
Dr. Lee Wen Pei & Dr. Tee Lee Chin
Malaysian Psychiatrists — Klang & Melaka. Two doctors. One mission: making evidence-based mental health knowledge accessible to every Malaysian — before crisis strikes.
We started Moodie because we saw the same pattern in our clinics: patients arriving in crisis — months, sometimes years after their first symptoms — because they never had access to accurate mental health information in their own language and cultural context. Moodie exists to change that.

Why Dr. Lee Founded Moodie
The most transformative moments in Dr. Lee’s clinical practice aren’t in diagnosis — they’re in education. When a patient finally understands why they can’t sleep, or how their thoughts are driving their anxiety, that’s when real change begins.
“I kept thinking: why do people have to wait until they’re in crisis to learn this? Why can’t we teach mental health literacy before people suffer?” That question became Moodie.
Clinical Philosophy
“Psychiatry isn’t just about medication or diagnosis. It’s about understanding. Empowerment. As Carl Rogers said: ‘Listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.'”
Outside the Clinic
Dr. Lee enjoys reading, travelling, and good food. A dedicated cat lover, she believes life’s best moments come from curiosity, connection, and good company.

What Dr. Tee Brings to Moodie
Dr. Tee bridges the gap between complex psychiatric knowledge and accessible public understanding. Through her writing, she helps readers recognize patterns, understand their own symptoms, and know when — and how — to seek professional help.
Her breadth of psychotherapy training brings a distinctive depth to Moodie’s content: not just what to do, but why it works — and what it actually feels like from the inside of the therapeutic relationship.
Clinical Philosophy
“Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about coming home to yourself — with gentleness, awareness, and truth.”
Outside the Clinic
Dr. Tee is drawn to fashion, sunsets, the sea, and quiet photographs — the small, gentle moments that bring life back into focus. A passionate traveller who finds beauty in stillness and authenticity.
She doesn’t like cats though. (We’re still friends.)
